Who makes Franki

Franki is made by Devaprasad T P, called “the developer” here.

Using the app

Franki is free to download and use. Apple's standard licence agreement for apps (the EULA) applies to the app.

Franki Cloud and credits

Franki Cloud is optional. You pick pages from a PDF, up to 100 per import, and Anthropic's Claude makes cards from them. It needs Sign in with Apple.

• What a credit is: 1 credit makes cards from 1 page.
• Free credits: every account starts with 300 free credits.
• Buying credits: credits are bought through Apple's in-app purchase, at the price the App Store shows you.
• When you're charged: only when cards are made. If Claude fails or makes no cards, no credits are used.
• No expiry: credits never expire.
• Your account: credits are tied to your Sign in with Apple account. They can't be transferred to another account or exchanged for money.
• Refunds: purchases are handled by Apple, so refunds are too. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.

How your pages are handled is in the privacy policy.

Acceptable use

• Only add or upload material you have the right to use.
• Don't use Franki or Franki Cloud to break the law or anyone's rights.
• Don't try to disrupt or overload Franki Cloud, or get around its credits.

Check your cards

Cards made by AI, on your iPhone or in Franki Cloud, can contain mistakes. Check them before you rely on them.

No warranty

Franki and Franki Cloud are provided as they are, without any promise that they'll always be available, free of errors or right for your purpose. As far as the law allows, the developer isn't liable for any loss that comes from using them. Nothing here takes away rights you have under the law that can't be taken away.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Using Franki after that means you accept the new terms.
